The LOVE Phonics Series is designed to help children who have just begun to learn English to build up the foundation of English pronunciation step by step in a fun and easy way.
The series includes four books aimed to build up the basics of phonics, which are 1. The Alphabet, 2. The Consonants, 3. The Short Vowels, and 4. The Short Vowel Word Families and Consonant Blends. ?
LOVE Phonics 3. The Short Vowels is divided into 5 parts and 20 units to introduce the sounds of the short vowels and their vowel word families with 50 related basic vocabulary, 45 related sentences, 5 short vowel chants and 5 children’s songs; and also, there are fun exercises within each unit and a review in the end of each part.
The Short Vowel
Connect the letter name and shape to the sound, and learn the sound of the short vowel and its vowel word families by pointing at the contents and listening to the CD. Kids can also learn the related words with the pictures.
The Exercise
Enhance kids’ ability of managing their finger muscles by tracing and writing a related word with the unit exercise.
The Chant
Review the sound of the short vowel and related words with rhythmic beats on the CD. Kids can easily remember everything by chanting.
The Review
Review activities are arranged in the end of each part. Kids can practice more of what they have learned.
The Vowel Word Families
Introduce three vowel word families for each short vowel accompanying with the consonants learned from Book 2, kids can simply start practicing to combine the sounds.
The Classic Children’s Song
A children’s song is introduced in the end as a review of the vowel. Kids can easily review the sounds by singing.
When learning a language, before any output, it is important to have a great deal of listening input and to be able to recognize the letters. Therefore, LOVE Phonics has included many listening resources such as CD, DVD, and iPen, to help children get used to and adopt the sounds of the language. With all the specific fun designs, we hope to make phonics learning easy, enjoyable and natural for children.
