台灣東吳大學音樂學系碩士班音樂學組碩士，大學輔系哲學；奧地利維也納大學比較系統音樂學暨民族音樂學哲學博士(Dr. Phil.)，輔修心理學、日本學、漢學、語言學和非洲學。現為台灣國家科學委員會人文學研究中心博士後研究員。曾發表演講於國際會議之相關亞洲音樂文化相關學術研究口頭和書面論文有：《崑曲歌唱在口傳與書寫音樂形式之間》(中央大學1999)、《Die Frauen in der taiwanesische Popular-musik(台灣流行音樂裡的女人)》(Vienna2002)、《Der Gesang der Frauen bei der Mongolen(蒙古女聲歌唱)》(Vienna2002)、《Recitation and Singing of Chinese Poetry in Japan and Taiwan (中國詩詞吟唱在日本與台灣)》(ESEM2004)、《Orality and interpretation – Japan and Taiwan: Is ‘Soran’ a work song？- Is ‘Solan’ a love song？ (口傳與詮釋-日本與台灣：‘soran’是勞動工作歌曲？–‘素蘭’是愛情歌曲？)》(CHIME2004)、《Detsk? hudobn? n?stroje p?vodn?ch obyvate，ov Tajwanu (給兒童演奏之台灣原住民樂器)》(Ethnomusicologicum2005)、《Another Continuing of the Taiwan Folk Music？ (台灣民間音樂的另一個繼續？)》(ICTM2006)、《Taiwanese Multi-ethnic Musical Culture (台灣之複音樂文化)》(Belgrad2006)等。
