About this Book
?
Chuangs Scalp Acupuncture (CSA) is a novel therapeutic approach. It combines segmental anatomy, neurologic-topical anatomy, and traditional Chinese medicines teachings of the meridians.
?
The formulation of CSA represents a pioneering, empirically validated method that integrates meridian theory with cranial nerve pathways. Furthermore, it also allows the therapist to treat spinal nerves individually by access through the base points.
It must be mentioned that the use of cranial nerves and base points predates CSA. However, the method proposed in this book differs in two key aspects: ?rst, CSA allows for more nuanced differential treatment when using already known acupuncture points. Second, CSA adopts newly discovered muscle points, that enhance therapeutic effects.
?
CSA excels especially in pain treatment and when combating neurological illnesses, such asperipheral facial paralysis.
?
CSA also places emphasis on Whiplash Associated Disorder (WAD), often expressed in complex clinical pictures, which are often not treated adequately becauseclinicians miss the effect of an unstable cervical spine on a variety of symptoms. Moreover, CSA offers a novel diagnostic tool, which converges to this new practical approach. This, when applied in treatment, has shown tremendous therapeutic successes for patients.
